Clementine Counseling

Sometimes in life we go through changes that we did not foresee. It is very difficult to navigate certain periods of our life. You may not know exactly what to do or how to get through what is happening in your life.

Elaine Ellis LCMHC

(She/Her)

I value the unique experiences, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs of the individual. We each strive for our own personal life balance. Sometimes we need a guide and partner to explore how to regain that balance during difficult life transitions or when we feel separate from people that are important to us.

I graduated from Western Carolina University in 1997 and became a LCMHC in 1999. I have worked in Intensive Outpatient Treatment for more than 18 years. I worked in individual and family therapy. It has been wonderful to live in Asheville North Carolina for thirty years. I enjoy the outdoors and camping with my family. Professionally, I have partnered with people who have mood disorders and those experiencing anxiety and depression. We all have strengths and inner resources to draw from during difficult times. Together we can rediscover those aspects that can help you move forward and feel more empowered.

As an LCMHC I have worked with many adults who have felt alone in dealing with changes they are experiencing; difficulties in families or work, and intense stressors that are difficult to cope with. I have had the privilege to support people in a process of self discovery. I like to take a holistic approach to mental health that focuses on the aspects of the person’s life that they have identified to work on.
